Prakash Patel

Prakash utilizes his experience in backend operations as well as risk management roles in asset management and model risk to help develop the business framework of Northwestern Analytics. Prakash has a Bachelors in Finance from the University of Illinois – Chicago and is working on his Master’s in Data Science from Northwestern University. 

When asked about his views on Data Science, Prakash looks back to where he has seen Data Science play an important role in the finance industry. After the 2008 Financial Crisis, corporations utilized data science to meet develop critical models that allowed for making better risk decisions in investments, fraud detection, and cash management/reserve calculations. His believes that such use of data science within other industries will help allow for better education, healthier population, and cleaner environment.
